I'm a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in the Neuroscience IDP at UCLA.
My advisor is Dr. Susan Bookheimer.
My research is in multimodal neuroimaging of human episodic memory systems in health and neurodegeneration. Currently, I use DTI and fMRI to study connections between the hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex in normal individuals and those at greater genetic risk for developing Alzheimer's Disease. Graph theory and machine learning have become a central part of my thesis.
More generally, I'm interested in memory, early detection of neurological disease states, human brain evolution, and cognitive enhancement/augmentation.
DTI
Notes on DTI analysis including image processing, tractography, and group statistical comparisons. Also includes links to useful DTI image converters, FSL sites of interest, and papers on DTI fundamentals.
UMCD
UCLA Multimodal Connectivity Database is a site for web-based brain network analysis where
researchers can share their own connectivity data and interact with other publicly shared data. It
is supported by the MGH-UCLA Human Connectome Project.
Functional Connectivity
References for performing different functional connectivity analyses, including resting state analysis and PPI using FSL.
UMCP
UCLA Multimodal Connectivity Package is a set of programs I've written for calculating structural and functional connectivity metrics
from diffusion weighted MRI and fMRI.
